This year I have the chance to experience myself. Due to the hostage crsis, some volunteers cancel or postpone the trip, that is why I can take this chance. At the first, I felt worry about the safety problem. When I have arrived the airport, I saw Cathy, Father Franics and Alex, their hospitality blew away all my worries.
I kept asking myself, what I could do to help besides taking photos. And I found that I can type the medical record and worked in pharmacy. I cannot imagine there were so many patients and many rare and thorny cases, too. The efficacy of acupuncture and Chinese medicine were good, so many people coming and going.
The endurance of Filipino is very impressive. They do not afraid of pain from acupuncture. Even doing acupuncture on Yingxiang(LI 20), which is a painful point, they were silent and quiet. A kid called Ronnie told us in her second follow-up. She said the Chinese herbal medicine was very bitter, but she finished the whole bowl. Comparing with kids in Hong Kong, they are very tough and strong.
What I saw this week is the thing I never experienced before. If there are any functions held by CMA in the future, I hope I have the chance to join, to learn the powerful of traditional Chinese medicine.
