Leaving Infanta and went back to Kolkata, India to get in touch with the poor people living in slum area. This was my third time being there, the main objective this time was representing CMA to volunteer in Missionary of Charity hospitals which are set up by Mother Teresa. In the hospital, we have to do everything, from cleaning floor, washing clothes, to delivering meals and feeding patients, we don't even have a single minute to rest. One day I saw a German volunteer who was doing massage on patients, due to curiosity I came over and introduce myself and CMA. He was so happy that I can help to do some rehabilitation work here as most of the patients are suffering from pain and paralysis. He told me: "Don't tell the Sisters, as they won't allow you, just do what you think it is right!" Then I started to do acupuncture and cupping in a dark corner inside the hospital, normally after several session, their pain gradually lessened. One time when a group of Sisters passed by and saw what I was doing, I was terrified and thought that they wouldn't allow me to do ay treatment as I didn't apply for that. Surprisingly they were very interested about the theory of acupuncture, I explained it in details and convinced them acupuncture is not that risky. Miracle happened! Sisters introduced me a few serious patients and asked if I could help them a bit. Thanks God to give me such opportunity, although what I could do in a month is quite limited, but I will never forget the hidden happiness and hope marked on their black faces. Frankly if there are somebody who spend time to take care of the patients in physical, mental and spiritual ways, they are already grateful for that. Before saying goodbye I promised to visit them again next year, maybe I will come with more doctors!
